Today African
Americans have a rhetoric about how White Americans have held them
back, still oppress
them and how we need to pay for our past sins against them.
They feel that ALL
white people need to pay for the sins of yesteryear.
I don’t believe that
anyone would argue that what happened in the United
States over 200 years
ago was one of the world’s most horrific things to
ever happen, but does
that mean that ALL white people should be held for the
crimes committed by
those who lived so long ago.
I was born in a white
Irish catholic family; my ancestors migrated here
years after the slave
days and had no involvement in any part of it.
Today I sit and watch
these "Black Liberation Theologist" spew this torrid speech
of hate and accusations
against anyone who is white. I did not here in any part of the
Catholic Priests sermon
any reference that would not include specific whites. It seemed
to me that it was a
blanket accusation against ANYONE who is white.
Today’s society is so
tuned into the feelings of African Americans that there is very
little true racism
left amongst Americans and what is left is mostly against whites.
I become so frustrate
when I know my family history and know what my ancestors had to
do to come to the United
States. I know that they had to flee from persecution themselves.
The African American
community needs to wake up and route out these race baiters who are
using this hate speech
to divide we Americans even further.
